The Land Rover Defender 90 joined the Defender lineup in 2021. It is a classic Land Rover Defender SUV in shape but with two doors. It is not as large as other Defenders and certainly smaller than many SUVs. However, it is also more manageable and delivers so much for its size.
On or Off-Road
The Land Rover Defender Philadelphia, renowned for its impressive 8.5 inches of ground clearance, truly shines when it comes to off-road capabilities. Yet, unlike other off-road vehicles, it can provide a smooth, even ride on the tarmac of city streets and the highways that lead from east side Philadelphia to the West Coast cities of San Francisco. Its turbo-charged 296-horsepower 2.0-liter engine can reach 60 mph in 6.7 seconds and take you quickly across any terrain. Yet, the ride is not jerky. The steering is responsive, making any drive on or off-road stable and enjoyable.
Inside and Outside
The exterior is vintage in appearance. It does not curve and appears box-like. However, that adds to the charm and character.
Despite having only two doors, the Defender is not cramped inside. It is spacious. While the interior may not scream “ostentatious” and avoids the luxury-look many SUV owners demand, it is still a quality vehicle. The trim and other basics of the inside of the vehicle are superior to the average SUV. As for infotainment, the Land Rover Defender 90 has, as standard, an 11.4-inch touchscreen. It comes with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. Overall, this is a Land Rover worth taking for a drive.
